Stock Market Opening Bell & Market Update for 30-11-2017

Market Live: Sensex falls 150 pts; Nifty below 10,350 ahead of F&O expiry, Q2 GDP

Equity benchmarks started off last day of the month on a negative note ahead of expiry of November derivative contracts. Investors also await second quarter GDP data and OPEC decision later today.

The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 154.03 points to 33,448.73 and the 50-share NSE Nifty declined 49 points to 10,312.30, tracking weakness in Asian stocks.

Vedanta, Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank, UltraTech Cement, SBI, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Adani Ports, Tata Motors and Reliance Industries were early losers.

Sun Pharma, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Bosch, IndusInd Bank, Wipro and Aurobindo Pharma were early gainers.

Nifty Midcap was down 0.4 percent. Future Retail, McLeod Russel, Balaji Telefilms, GNA Axles, Indiabulls Real, Puravankara, Delta Corp and Gati were down 1-4 percent.

TBZ fell 9 percent and Mukta Arts gained 13 percent post earnings.

Stock Market Opening Bell & Market Update for 29-11-2017

Market Live: Sensex higher, Nifty eyes 10,400 despite North Korea missile attack

Equity benchmarks were mildly higher in opening trade, shrugging off North Korea's latest missile launch, and tracking positive Wall Street close.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 34.86 points at 33,653.45 and the 50-share NSE Nifty rose 16.90 points to 10,387.20.

About 896 shares advanced against 317 declining shares on the BSE.

Cipla, Coal India, NTPC, ONGC, Hindalco Industries and L&T were early gainers while Axis Bank and Tech Mahindra were under pressure.

Alkem Labs gained 4 percent on US FDA nod for Capecitabine tablets.

Bhansali Engineering, INEOS Styrolution, Shankara Buildcon, ADF Foods, RPP Infra, Balaji Telefilms, SpiceJet, Jet Airways, Godrej Consumer, United Breweries up 1-6 percent. TechnoFab Engineering rallied 20 percent.

Stock Market Opening Bell & Market Update for 28-11-2017

Market Live: Sensex mildly lower, Nifty opens below 10,400; NTPC, Power Grid fall

Equity benchmarks opened mildly lower on Tuesday, weighed by profit booking. The market rallied for previous eight consecutive sessions.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 32.62 points at 33,691.82 and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 11 points to 10,388.50.

Power Grid, NTPC, ITC, IOC, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra, Bharti Infratel and Infosys were early losers.

Tata Power, HUL, Cipla, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank, Ambuja Cements and UltraTech Cement were early gainers.

Reliance Communications plunged 8 percent. Reliance Capital, Reliance Naval and Reliance Infrastructure fall 1 percent each.

IGL, Gujarat Gas, Mahanagar Gas, Rallis India, IDBI Bank and Eris Life gained 1-5 percent.

PNB Housing Finance and Glenmark Pharma fell 3 percent.

Stock Market Opening Bell & Market Update for 24-11-2017

Market Live: Sensex opens higher, Nifty above 10,350; midcap index at record high

Frontline indices began on a positive note, with the Nifty opening above 10,350-mark. Midcap index was trading at a record high, but at par with the benchmarks.

The Sensex was up 70.74 points at 33658.82, while the Nifty is up 23.00 points at 10371.80. The market breadth was positive as 641 shares advanced, against a decline of 227 shares, while 33 shares were unchanged.

Bajaj Auto, Cipla and Bharti Infratel gained the most on both indices, while HUL, Asian Paints, Zee Entertainment and HPCL were the top losers.

The Indian rupee opened flat at 64.58 per dollar on Friday versus previous close 64.58.

Stock Market Opening Bell & Market Update for 23-11-2017

Market Live: Sensex, Nifty trade flat after opening higher; Bharti twins gain

Equity benchmarks opened mildly higher on Thursday but immediately erased those gains to trade flat. Investors closely watch crude oil prices movement and other global cues due to lack of domestic cues.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 23.63 points at 33,537.92 and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 4.80 points to 10,337.50.

About 719 shares advanced against 409 declining shares on the BSE.

Bharti Airtel, Bosch, Bharti Infratel, Infosys and Power Grid were early gainers.

Dr Reddy's Labs, UltraTech Cement, Asian Paints, Zee Entertainment and Axis Bank were early losers.
ICICI Prudential Life, HDFC Standard Life and SBI Life were under pressure, falling 2-4 percent.

Quess Corp plunged 6 percent as Thomas Cook (up 4.5 percent) is selling some stake in the company.

PC Jeweller, VIP Industries and ACE gained 2-4 percent.
